estas questões de forma global, aproveitando o período de mobilizações sociais
e profundos questionamentos ao sistema que têm emergido em quase todos os
continentes. Os povos originários de Abya Yala, os estudantes chilenos, os
movimentos em busca de democracia e controle de poder do Magreb-Mashrek, as
vastas expressões de indignação frente ao capitalismo financeiro e as
corporações na Europa e nos Estados Unidos – todos travam a mesma luta.
Este parece ser um momento único para resgatarmos o acúmulo do altermundialismo
e do Fórum Social Mundial. Se outro mundo é possível, o será a partir da
convergência destes sujeitos políticos, favorecendo a criação de um sentido de

style='font-weight:bold'>we need to reinvent the world.</span></b> Facing the
systemic crisis that ravages all the spheres of life coupled with the
inefficiency of the established powers to confront it, standing up to those
issues in a global perspective becomes utterly urgent, taking advantage of this
period of social mobilizations and deep questions about the system that have
burst in almost all of the continents. Indigenous people from Abya Yala,
Chilean students, movements seeking for democracy and power control of
Magreb-Mashrek, far-reaching sense of outrage against the financial capitalism
and corporations in Europe and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">United
States</st1:country-region></st1:place>, all of them endorse the same
struggle. It seems to be a singular moment to regain the experiences of the
altermundialism and the World Social Forum. If another world is possible it
will be from the convergence of these political beings, fomenting the creation
of a common sense of purpose, identity and future sight. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial;color:#2A2A2A'>In this framework, the Thematic Social Forum
may be the first meeting point for the “Indignants” ones,
indigenous’ people and anti-systemic movements’ voices that will
gather again because of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable
Development (Rio+20), during the parallel event of civil society – The
Peoples Summit at Rio+20 –, in June 2012. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

process, for this Forum we thought of an innovative methodology that provides
the formulation of guidelines and global campaigns, a strategic and
programmatic agenda able to nourish an articulation that will transcend the
days of the Thematic Social Forum performance and that will put into practice
the alternatives we all look forward to. The core of this methodology is the
work of the Thematic Groups, prior to the Thematic Social Forum, which enable
us to accomplish political synthesis in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Porto
Alegre</st1:City></st1:place> and beyond. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
